Moments of Reprieve: Representing Loss in Contemporary Photography
Tallinn Art Hall Gallery
Taking its title from the 1978 book by Primo Levi, this exhibition brings together a group of artists who have responded conceptually to the challenge of articulating loss through photography. The works expand on the idea that the medium and its modes of production may point to something beyond a literal visual depiction – for instance, by highlighting how photographs can communicate more through what they conceal than the subjects they portray.
